The peoples and culture of the early north Atlantic region are the primary area for my teaching and research. Undergraduate courses in medieval history and culture, Celtic Studies, and British history are complemented by my most recent graduate seminar in Early Atlantic history. The interactions of peoples round the Atlantic are examined in my book Viking Pirates and Christian Princes and the forthcoming Irish Sea Studies.
