History Majors win three thesis awards

History majors have won three of the four honors thesis awards in the University this year.

In the Penn State University Libraries 2014 Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Awards, the top place went to Chloe Weaver, a double major in History and German, for her thesis, "An Economic and Historical Analysis of Turkish Guest Worker Migration to Postwar West Germany." Second place went to Natalie Roberts, History and Political science, for her thesis on “History of Organic Farming in California and Pennsylvania.”

This year, the Paterno Fellows Program inaugurated its first annual Paterno Fellows Honors Thesis Award and one of the two winners was Andrew D’Aversa, a Paterno Fellow majoring in History and Management who received the inaugural award for his thesis on “Delmonico’s: The Creation of the Modern American Restaurant.”
